Car Battery and Brakes

Car Battery and Brakes Information

  • Battery - yes, car batteries do wear out. While today's modern batteries do not require a fluid check (as was true once upon a time) it is important to know that at some point you will need to replace the battery as it wears out.
  • Brakes - there is no question how valuable your brakes are to you and your safety. Your brakes should be checked at least yearly (during your regular car check up with your mechanic) and/or anytime you begin to hear a squealing sound when you step on the brakes. Putting off having your brake pads replaced or other brake work done is not only a safety hazard you run the risk of increasing the financial cost of getting them repaired. Also, remember to check your brake fluid level each time you change the oil in your car.
